The Meatpacking District of Copenhagen consists of three large areas named The White Meat City, The Gray Meat City and The Brown Meat City. See a map of the area here.
The White Meat City
The White Meat City is a unique 871.000 sq. feet property owned by the Municipality of Copenhagen, Denmark and home of meat companies, creative industries, supermarkets, galleries, and restaurants. It is in other words the Meatpacking District of Copenhagen.
There are only few working Meat Cities left today in the world. The area is mentioned in the travel guide of The New York Times on the 8th of August 2004. Read the article here.

The area is developed by Copenhagen Properties to contain artists, galleries, meat industries, creative and gastronomic trendsetters all blended together in the caracteristic white buildings primarily from 1934.
Students and professors from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen, the Fachhochschule Frankfurt, Studiengang Architektur, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nancy, and the Eesti Kunstiakadeemia in Tallinn have studied the The White Meat City. The Gray Meat City is a smaller areal with cultural activities, offices, and meat industries.
The Brown Meat City
